What Are Generalized Anxiety Disorder Symptoms?

Generalized Anxiety Disorder must never be confused with Anxiety or Panic Attacks. The latter will last a matter of minutes, perhaps twenty at the very outside. The former may last for weeks, even months or years. It can become a way of life, where the sufferer doesn't really know that there's anything wrong with them. Everyone else feels the same way, don't they?




No, they don't and if you've been feeling this way for an extended period, then it's about time we helped you to put an end to it. Generalized Anxiety Disorder symptoms may be some or any of the following;



* A lot of time spent worrying about trivial or even imaginary problems.



* The sufferer tends to exaggerate their worries, even when they don't have any!



* They constantly anticipate disaster.



* They're quite unable to control their feelings of anxiety.



* They're always restless, on edge and constantly feel tired.



* They have difficulty concentrating.



* Certain situations cause their minds to go blank.



* Their sleep is often disturbed.



* They frequently suffer from headaches.



I wish I were able to give you a good, solid reason for Generalized Anxiety Disorder, or G.A.D., but I'm afraid I can't. No-one yet knows from whence it comes, but I wonder if it's not one of those 'mistakes,' during the last three months of the baby being in the womb when it has so much implanted in its mind.



You may remember that we've discussed this before. The baby experiences R.E.M., (Rapid Eye Movement), sleep at a greatly accelerated rate for these last three months. Occasionally, something becomes misplanted in the baby's mind and this may cause all sorts of problems later on in life. Now that's only my theory. The truth is, as I said, no-one really knows what produces this miserable condition.



If the condition becomes serious, then it can rob the person of living a decent life in any way. Unfortunately, people may become impatient with those who suffer this condition.



"Why do they make such a fuss when there's nothing whatever to make a fuss about?"



The truth is that the poor person who suffers this condition would give anything not to worry and fret in this way. But they simply can't help it. Another reason for this condition could be that as a child, the person suffered some type of trauma which caused them to worry. Once implanted in the mind, that was that. They simply live life worrying and being anxious about something that's long forgotten.



The problem is that all this worrying has now become a habit. An excellent way of expelling this from your mind is through hypnosis. A good hypnotherapist will put you in a state of R.E.M. sleep, which is the hypnotic trance, and effectively clear out that part that's been worrying you.

I know that I had this condition for many years, all through childhood and into adulthood. It was only much later in life that I learned it was a treatable condition. Identifying the Types and Symptoms of Anxiety

Anxiety is basically where a person feels uneasy about someone or something. Often in day to day life, we can face many situations which can become stressful, challenging or potentially dangerous. However, depending on the person and the situation, anxiety can last for a few weeks or even longer in other cases. There are many causes which can allow anxiety to take over.



Common Causes of Anxiety


Lack of sleep.


Feelings of Dizziness.


Obsessions in relation to stressful situations.


Being unable to concentrate.


Loss of appetite.


Restlessness.


Tenseness.

Anticipating disaster or dangerous situations.

Common Types of Anxiety


Panic Disorder A panic disorder is where a person has a severe amount of panic attacks. They can occur at any time of the day and will happen without warning. Around 1 in 50 people suffer from panic disorders. If you do have this, it is highly likely that you will continue to worry about having further panic attacks in the future. Also, it can make you feel like your going to die - do not fear, this will not happen! It is just a feeling of anxiousness which allows this feeling to occur. Although there is no direct reason why panic attacks occur. However they can be triggered due to stressful situations.


Phobic Anxiety Disorder A phobia is where a person has a fear of something, although in reality there is a small amount or no danger involved. When the individual comes into contact with the object or situation, this then causes anxiety. If thinking of a situation or object, this can also cause anxiety. The most common phobias which someone could suffer from are spiders, heights or being trapped in a small area (known as claustrophobia). Social phobias are also common amongst anxiety sufferers. This is where you become worried and anxious about what other people think of you.
