5 Simple Eye Care Tips That You Know But Have Forgotten

We often fail to realize how precious is it to have good eye sight, until times when we experience suddenly blindness or blur vision. We punished our eyes by driving it to work long hours in front computers, and go along with our entertainments on televisions. In a long run, our eyes will eventually get tired and signal for a rest. So, how can we give it a proper rest? Let me share some of the common and simple tips that are always being forgotten.

1. Have ample rest

Having a plenty rest not only it's good for our eyes. There's an old saying, "Resting is to allow us to walk a longer Journey". Indeed, having a good rest each day allow us to perform better next day. Being able to work with our best, we are able to live out the most each day, thus having a more fulfilling day and covered a greater distance in our 'journey' towards our goal. And our eyes are invaluable asset to achieve our dreams! So take care of them by giving them some proper rest.

2. Drink sufficient water daily

It's really basic, water is the source of life. 70% of our body makes up of water. If we failed to replenish our water contents, it is a given for our eyes to feel dry and sore, and get tired easily. The average amount of water needed per day for an adult should be around 2 Litres. It should not be a difficult amount to achieve. If you find it hard, try using bottles that can hold up to 1 Litre. So drinking 2 bottles each day solve the problem!

3. Wash your eyes under cold water

As much as possible, try to wash your eyes under cold water in regular intervals. Doing so will constantly help to remove dust and unwanted dirty particles around the eyes. Cold water will also help to cool our burning eyes, a sensation that you will most likely experience when your eyes are tired.

4. Interval rest between task

Work that requires eye concentration will definitely harm your eyes. Most common example is computer job. You will surely experience strain in the eye after long hours staring at the monitor. How should we care for our eyes while keeping up with our work? Cultivate a habit. Always remember to take a short break for your eyes every 45 minutes or 1 hour. Start by closing your eyes for 30 seconds to a minute, after that look far away for as long as you could. If time permits, do a short eyes exercise.

5. Wear shades or sun glasses when expose to sunlight

The Ultra-Violet ray emitted from Sun proves to be harmful to our eyes. The damage to our eyes is cumulative, therefore you may not feel the effect now. That's why it is important that we take extra precautions to protect our eyesight. Using shades is one of the most simplest way to protect UV ray damage. So the next time you hit the streets under bright daylight, remember to wear a shades! A little effort each time, helps your eyes. And you can still look cool while doing so.

Top 3 Tips For Eye Care

Your eyes are important to you, as with them, you are able to appreciate the beauty and colors in this world. Unfortunately, the rate of eye problems are on the rise. The most common problem in developed nations are refractive eye lens problem, such as short sightedness, long sightedness and astigmatism caused by long hours in front of computers and televisions. The first eye care tip is to give your eyes enough rest, and taking a break every hour from your computer work.

Next tip deals with diet. First, ensure that you drink enough water to hydrate your body and your eyes. Do not wait until you feel thirsty, as at that time, your body will already be dehydrated. I personally drink a gallon of water a day as I exercise a lot, so even if you don't exercise, you should aim to drink at least half a gallon a day. Supplement the hydration with nutritious food that helps eye health such as carrots, kale, spinach and squash.

The final tip is to give your eyes enough exercise everyday. A simple exercise is simply to rotate your eyeballs in its socket for a couple of minutes. Then go up down, and then left right for a couple of minutes. Take a solid object and focus your eyes on it. Vary the distance and location of the object in front of your eye, and use your eyes to focus on the object without moving your head. The best advice is still to get rid of your glasses, and seek to regain your natural perfect eye sight. I have thrown away my glasses several years back, and was thankful that I am saved from a lifetime of eye wear inconveniences and costs.

I now have perfect vision in my right eye, and near perfect in my left. I have searched for natural ways to improve my vision, and have found one that actually works for me.
