Relaxation Tip: Feel Your Energy
We all have a continuous flow of universal energy through our bodies. It's the life force which keeps us alive, yet most people are fairly unaware of it. By becoming more aware of this energy and how it feels inside, you can learn to harness it for your relaxation and well-being.
Working with the energy flowing through your body can help you access a whole new understanding about your body and how it really works. You can discover parts of yourself that may have been buried for a long time. You can meet your essence, the part of you that's really in charge. You can also access parts of you that are holding too much energy, old energy which needs to be released.
Exploring the energy within you can take you deeply into places where you hold onto old emotions, thoughts, fears, and more. When you discover the universal energy flowing through your body, you meet an essential part of yourself. You learn to use this energy to release the tension and stress that may have been held in your body for years. We are most healthy when we have a free flow of universal energy through the body.
Feeling Energy Exercise
Begin by settling into wherever you're sitting. Let your body begin to relax. Take several deep, long breaths, releasing slowly and evenly. Begin to feel the energy in your body. Feel or imagine energy flowing through and around you. Flowing through every cell in your body. Through every part of your being. Imagine that this energy is your essential energy, the energy that connects you with this universe.
Let this energy flow through and around you as much as you can. If you notice a place in your body where you may be holding back this flow of energy, focus for a moment on that place. Let this energy flow through that place in your body. Let your body open up to the flow of universal energy.
Don't push for anything to happen. Just feel the body and begin letting go into the flow of this energy. Don't worry about anything that may come up. Know that you can release it, and let it flow out of your body.
Access Emotions Without So Much Pain
Most people do have some fear about going too deeply into their emotions. Yet, when you consciously work with your energy, you can develop a new appreciation for your healing process. And you can learn to access emotions without as much pain involved as you may be anticipating.
Feel the body. And let go. Let go of everything you can in your body now. Let the heart release its old energy. Let the body release its energy. Let go fully. Continue letting go as long as you need to. When you feel ready, simply return to the space around you. Feel your body more deeply for a moment.
Remember to take plenty of time after the exercise to be fully present in your body, before you attempt to get up or do anything physical.
