A Way to a Peaceful Life

A peaceful life is like a dream in today's competitive and materialistic world. A chase for wealth & fame seems never-ending but still everyone wants peace. The funny thing is, there are people who did nothing except taking the others' peace of mind are in search of peace. Life is tough yet beautiful and worth living in any circumstances. Present situation and circumstance will soon become past no matter what; this is the fact of life and nothing can change it but the irony is still many of us can't fight our circumstances and give-up the most beautiful thing they possess. Peace is not about silence and quietness it is about the feeling of full-fill ness, a feeling of satisfaction- satisfaction of doing something good. And, it can be attained by practicing the following:

Meditation:

As per Buddhist philosophy, meditation is a way to attain salvation, it is never too late, one can attain salvation through meditation at any stage of life, I do not know about salvation but peace of mind can be attained by meditation at any stage of life. Meditation in my opinion is clearing your thoughts and mind from anything which is disturbing and distracting. One can control all his anger, grief and any other feeling with the help of meditation. Meditation is not a very technical process which requires a proper training, it can be practiced easily by a non-technical person all it requires is attention. Being attentive is not a practice that needs to be confined to a cross-legged posture. Meditative attention is a dynamic practice of paying close attention to what you are doing in whatever posture or situation you happen to be in.

Exercise Daily:

Healthy body and healthy mind are the key ingredients to a peaceful life. Exercising everyday helps to improve the energy level and immunity. It is not necessary to spend hours in gym, even jogging or walking for half an hour daily can keep you rejuvenated for rest of the day. Once your body will be fit and healthy, you will feel more confidence in whatever you do. A life reborn as a human is considered a very precious thing. To have a long life is a rare and important opportunity to end our suffering. Hence, it is important to keep healthy. To keep the body in good health is a duty...otherwise we shall not be able to keep our mind strong and clear.

Practice your Hobby Daily:

Hobbies are important and need to be practiced regularly for happiness. Hobbies are the best way to show your talent and express your feelings. It gives you an opportunity to spend more time with your own self which otherwise is the most difficult thing in this busy world. A hobby is much more than just a pastime. A hobby has many benefits and advantages for each individual. For some, a hobby is an emotional outlet, for others a way of gaining knowledge. Hobbies keep our minds - and our hands - active. Most hobbies are an ideal way to relax. Coming home from work and sitting down to enjoy your favorite pastime helps to take your mind off of the stresses of the day. Hobbies also help you unwind before bed so you can get a better night's sleep.

Music & Dancing:

Music & dancing are the best stress-busters. Music not only has a capability to release tension but to attain mental peace and so has dancing. One does not need to be a trained dancer or singer, doing your own thing in a way which is most enjoyable to you can remove all your tensions. Listening to music helps you to keep your negative thoughts away and enjoy life to the fullest. Life without music would leave us unsure and probably incapable of venting our emotions. Music touches our soul, and allows us to express different moods and emotions. Music has power to cheer you up even in your worst mood and to give up all the unpleasant thoughts. Music is an art that meliorates the creativity in you as it appeals to not only the conscious mind but also the unconscious mind.

Reading:

Books are not only the important source of knowledge but also can provide answers to all your questions. It is important to read and to listen to great teachers, so we can 'undo' more of our ignorance. Books are important, as is listening to great teachers. In fact, it is one of the most important things we can do with our lives. It however does not mean that one need to read books on religion and self-motivation only to attain peace of mind. One can read anything as per his own interest be it poetry, novel, story book or even the newspaper. Reading continuously gives an insight to a person to solve his own problems & achieve mental peace.

So, it is rightly quoted by a religion-guru, " If in day-to-day life you lead a good life, honestly with love, with compassion, with selflessness then automatically it will lead to Nirvana," for us that means peace.

Sleep Hobby - 3 Things That Allow You to Sleep

By Steven Crew
One of the best ways to induce sleep is to not have any worries. Since that's not likely in today's world, you may need a hobby or some other distraction to take your mind off your daily stress.

Doubly powerful would be something that distracts, as well as working toward eliminating your worries. Here are three easy ways to get started on things that allow you to sleep at night.

1 Have something to Live For. If you don't have a job, there are many ways to create one out of thin air. There has essentially been a growing digital economy that has existed since the inception of the Internet; check Google's stock price if you haven't heard their success (and that's only one company). Why not join the fun by creating a blog?

If you decide to take the freelance blog plunge, keep in mind that you can't blog about anything negative. Do not create blog posts about things you would not normally talk about in the course of your day with friends, co-workers or around the general public. Stick to positive information that helps other people, and - who knows - you may become an authority figure in whatever blogging world you choose to exist in (as long as you write what you know).

You can fast track a blog career with a free blog at Google Blogger, if you:

* Blog often (this is relative to what you blog about).

* Research search engine optimization (SEO) a bit; your blog posts must fit a certain format to be effective.

* Write separate articles about your topic to submit to article sites such as EzineArticles. These very important articles provide critical SEO back-hyperlinks that cause your blog to rise to the top of the heap.

* Quote and link to subject matter experts from within your blog; in other words, other articles writers, bloggers, and so forth.

* Post comments and your blog URL at other blogs and sites that allow comments.

* Lean toward maximizing AdSense placement, without overkill (Google owns Blogger and AdSense, which makes advertising-with-you-on-the-revenue-receiving-end very easy). You are limited on the total number of AdSense ads you can place on one blog page, but if you place your ads at the top of blog posts as close to title and text as is physically possible, readers will see your ads and click on them.

* Whatever you do, don't give up because this method is not a scam. Over a period of months, maybe over a year, it can provide enough AdSense revenue to subsist on as a freelance writer.

Your newfound "reason to live," otherwise known as a "hobby" (until it begins to produce revenue) does not necessarily have to be a blog. It can be online job training or some form of higher learning. It can be a refreshed job search (buy the latest copy of What Color is Your Parachute, and then send the author a Thank You note since he's one of the few who actually knows how you can get a job, if you need one). If you need fast cash, start a business like lawn care, neighborhood ironing, baby-sitting, or a newspaper or paper-advertising route.

The bottom line is that you need something that excites you before you go to work, while you are at work, and when you get home at the end of the day.

2 If you wonder why you wake up in the middle of the night: It's probably because you have unfinished business, and your brain is reminding you about all the things you didn't do yesterday. The effect - the little reminder jolt that you receive - is similar to that of driving away from your house on vacation, and then suddenly trying to remember if you left the oven on (you may have, you should go back and check; you could have a nicer trip if you go back).

So, boing, you're awake. What to do next? You can lay there and toss and turn. Or, you can feed the effect and get up and do something. Many people do higher learning late at night. Other people get up very early in the morning because they are rested and thus able to concentrate better. Rephrased, their incomplete coursework is what pushes them to wake up. It's what gives them the boing.

3 Take a break. The basic drill for having something that makes you excited about going to work each day is that whatever it is - probably doesn't have anything to do with your day job. You owe your boss eight hours a day (or whatever you signed up for), so the suggestion in this article is not to do crafts at your desk when you're supposed to be working.

Whatever you develop as a hobby should be something that interests you enough to make you want to rise earlier than most people - to allow you to work on it each day before you go to work; also to develop ways to work on it when you're on break or at lunch at your job. Cell phones are a great way to track information, with all the new calendar, messaging, and task settings on the phones. Or, keep a small notebook and pen with you at all times, to jot down things you are to do at the end of your day. Basically, use any ethically-correct spare time you have available at your day job to further your hobby efforts.

Again, a most important aspect of sleep quality is to have something to look forward to the next morning. You truly need something that causes you to spring out of bed at whatever time you choose to rise - no alarm clocks allowed; you must awake rested on your own after seven-plus hours of uninterrupted sleep - rather than the opposite - which is to drag yourself out of bed each morning.

If you don't have the motivation to wake up in the morning it detracts from your ability to sleep comfortably - right up until the cold grey morning attacks you with an alarm bell (bam!).
