Gain Control Over Anxiety

When reading articles on how to beat or control your anxiety it all sounds so easy, As the saying goes it's easier said than done. But the important thing to remember when dealing with anxiety it doesn't happen overnight, it does take time and persistence on techniques but you can gain control over it and get your life back together and relieve anxiety fast.

With being male I think I'm naturally stubborn (Sorry lads) and if there's something wrong with me I want to fix it myself and don't want help, I was battling with anxiety for around 2 years without even knowing what it was I just thought I was dizzy because of a lack of food and a bit on edge because I had a lot to do at work, I just didn't understand and know way was I asking for help.

I think it was just over 3 years and it all hit me hard, I thought I was dealing with whatever it was and I was coping and something happened at home and it was like a switch in my mind in a split second I knew I needed help with it.

After going to the doctors which I do highly advise it really is a must in my books, I was put on a prescription of 10mg Citalopram and 2mg Diazepam, I was a bit skeptical I wasn't too sure on side affects etc. But for the initial stages of gaining control over you're anxiety I strongly believe with light medication and natural ways of relieving you're anxiety is the way to go.

The natural ways of gaining control now this is where you have to focus and be persistent and re-train your mind over the situation, There are so many ways but just to fire a few out there for you. When you feel an anxiety attack coming on for example just remember these attacks can't kill you it feels horrible and like you are dying but health wise your completely safe. Focus on your breathing nice big deep breathes they call it the 6 second breath. Breathe in 3 seconds and out 3 seconds and do this between 5-10 times and you will feel the anxiety being released I can assure you of that. With me on the 2nd 3rd breath I felt even more dizzy and sometimes felt I had to stop, But stay calm and power through those breathes because by the 6th or 7th the oxygen has been pumped so fast around your body you then feel the anxiety relief and the attack slows right down. If it doesn't don't panic stay calm and go through the breathes again. Stay Strong Stay Calm and Stay Positive.

After suffering with anxiety for years I searched for anyway of gaining control over it and I did, So now I want to try and help others through the mental drain of anxiety and help relieve anxiety fast so please feel free to browse my web page and I hope it gives you some tips http://www.relieveanxietyfast.net/
